FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed brake shoe is made of two longitudinal layers differing in thermal conductivity. Ratio of masses of composites according to layers is shoe chosen from relationship: where M1 is mass of composite of higher thermal conductivity, and M2 is mass of composite of lower thermal conductivity. Invention is aimed at improving operating characteristics of brake shoe by decreasing unbalance of shoe loads in process of operation by balancing ratio of thermal conductivity of masses of layers featuring higher and lower thermal conductivity.
EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of brake shoe.
