FIELD: medicine, biotechnology, virology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnosis and vaccine-prophylaxis of HIV-1. Invention proposes library of chimeric peptides mimicking the genetic diversity of the main hypervariable region V3 in HIV-1 gp120. Library is immunogenic and causes producing antibodies interacting with the broad spectrum of gp120 variants of different HIV-1 genotypes. Also, the library elicits ability to bind early antibodies raised against to HIV-1. In immunization of laboratory animals with chimeric peptides library the specific antibodies are formed that interact with the broad variant of gp120 of different HIV-1 genotypes. The proposed library of chimeric peptides can be used for preparing antigens for producing diagnostic test-systems and manufacturing vaccine against HIV-1.
EFFECT: valuable biological and medicinal properties of library.
