TIE-TAMPER STRIKER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; track machinery.

SUBSTANCE: proposed striker of tie tamper consists of striker body with front and rear parts, striker screen installed on lower end of striker body, with lower edge of screen at a distance from striker body, and front side of screen before reverse side of screen. Striker body forms, with reverse side of screen, a common end line of body parallel to lower edge of screen, and chamfered surface of striker forming, together with front side of screen, acute angle α and plane limited from one side by lower edge of screen and from other side by line of section of body formed with entire rear part of body. Base line located on chamfered surface of striker and formed at one side by base plane passing square to front side of screen and through upper edge of striker screen, and at other side by chamfered surface of striker is located at a distance from upper remote terminal point greater than from end line of body. Striker screen and striker body are drop-forged in form of integral part.

EFFECT: provision of optimum wear resistance of tie-tamper striker with reduced resistance to penetration into crushed stone material.
