FIELD: railway transport; permanent way maintenance machinery.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tie-tamping unit 1 for tamping ties 2 of rail track 3 has levers with strikers 4 arranged on frame of unit 6 and installed for turning around axle 5. each lever is connected with transverse feed drive 7 for tilting in longitudinal direction of unit 9 and is provided on its lower end 8 intake hole 11 for connection with striker of tie tamper 12 designed for driving into ballast between two ties 2. At least one lever with striker 4 is provided with inner hole 10 in addition to intake hole 11. Said holes 10, 11 are arranged one after the other in longitudinal direction of unit 9 and are designed for fastening striker of tie tamper 12, as required.
EFFECT: provision of easy temping of ties on track sections with different spacing of ties.
