FIELD: measurement technology; measurement of volumetric flow of gas.
SUBSTANCE: proposed sensor includes float and cylindrical dielectric measuring tube with two pairs of coats of capacitance differential transducer of vertical motion of float on its side surface. Cylindrical measuring tube blanked off from beneath is placed coaxially in metal cylindrical housing which is used as common coat for differential converter. Circular float is made from conducting material and has trough-shaped cross section; it is free to move vertically in circular clearance between measuring tube and cylindrical housing. Coats of capacitance differential transducer have form of two pairs of isosceles triangles located on surface of measuring tube with vertices towards each other. Lateral sides of adjacent coats are parallel and coats of similar direction are electrically connected in pairs. Longitudinal through slots made on diametrically opposite lateral sides of measuring tube are opened by float during its rise. Surfaces of cylindrical metal housing, coats of differential capacitance transducer and float are coated with insulating layer.
EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of sensor; enhanced measurement accuracy; simplified construction.
