FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting bleeding mucous membrane surface to radio wave treatment at 3.8-4 MHz frequency and power of 4.5-6.5 W using electrode brought through endoscope and connected to radio wave source by means of wire. Mucous membrane defect surface is treated in chess-board order acting upon each point during 1 s. The electrode is manufactured as plastic tube having headpiece on distal end for holding removable end pieces and electric plug on the proximal end for making connection to the radio wave source. Stainless steel wire is mounted along the whole electrode length to let radio waves pass, and is connected to the plug on the proximal end and to the headpiece for holding removable end pieces on distal end. The headpiece is manufactured as conic or spherical cap.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
