VERSION OF COMPLEX ENDOSCOPIC MANUAL FOR PATIENTS WITH COMPLICATED FORMS OF STROKE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/94 A61B10/04 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used for assisting patients with strokes complicated by bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and aspiration of the lower respiratory tract with gastric contents. First, the patient undergoes primary diagnostic EGD with forced air supply in oropharyngeal zone. Then the stomach is washed with "ice" water through a thick probe in amount of 7–8 l. That is followed by a repeated therapeutic-diagnostic EGD with forced air supply in the oropharyngeal zone, during which a detailed mucous examination is performed to establish a bleeding source and irrigation is carried out with 40–60 ml of 5 % solution ε-aminocaproic acid. That is followed by a permanent nasogastric tube with a rigid metal guide directed into the fundic of the stomach. Metal guide is removed from the nasogastric tube installed in the stomach. That is followed by therapeutic and diagnostic fibro-oropharyngoscopy. At the final stage, therapeutic and diagnostic bronchoscopy with multisegmental lavage 70–80 ml of cooled isotonic solution of sodium chloride is performed.

EFFECT: method provides a complex endoscopic manual, reduces a risk of a lethal outcome in the acute phase of the stroke and creates conditions for more qualitative rehabilitation of patients ensured by successive endoscopic interventions.
