FIELD: food industry and technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for preparing starch from starch-containing raw, for example, wheat meal or milled maize seeds and can be used in starch-molasses and baking branches of food industry and also in pharmaceutical, textile and cardboard-paper industry. Method for preparing starch involves mixing starch-containing raw with water and prepared suspension is dispersed in a homogenizer device and separated for starch and protein concentrate by centrifugation. Starch is purified from protein and water-soluble impurities by a single washing out and centrifugation for some steps and prepared starch is dried. Starch-containing raw is fed into a homogenizer device in hydroimpulse regimen at impulse frequency 0.5-2.5 Hz. On the first stage of starch washing out its suspension is treated with alkali to pH value 7.0-8.0. Water obtained after washing out starch is recovered into mixer for stage for preparing suspension of starch-containing raw. Application of the invention provides elevating yield of starch by 3.5-4.0% in simultaneous enhancing the purity degree of preparing starch (protein content is less 0.4%) and reducing consumption of pure water by above 2 times per 1 t of meal.
