FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, strengthening of threaded surfaces operating under friction wear conditions.
SUBSTANCE: method involves spraying metal or non-metal material onto threaded surface of part; producing coating on one side of each thread tooth inclined toward load causing wearing of surface; directing flow of particles at an angle of 75-90 deg to tooth surface to be sprayed in plane perpendicular to said surface; feeding gas jet into flow of particles in direction perpendicular to flow of particles.
EFFECT: reduced probability of cracking of coating and increased service life of friction pair.
