FIELD: wood working industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed chamber that depends for its operation on using vacuum and composite system for heating wood in wax has heat-insulated housing and removable cover in the form of metal frame with heat-resistant rubber membrane pulled thereon, as well as hermetically sealed bath with intercommunicating working reservoir and additional one filled with wax that functions as liquid heat-carrying agent. Its heating system is composite arrangement that has electric heating elements and heat exchanger made in the form of tube filled with external heat-carrying agent. Additional reservoir holds wax and working one is used for drying piled wood placed on base in layer-by-layer manner with layers separated by means of steel spacers, primarily in the form of racks. Wood is dried and impregnated at a time in hot wax environment using vacuum pump and external heat condenser. Steam-gas mixture extraction, wood airing and steaming can be made in working reservoir with aid of fan.
EFFECT: reduced power requirement, enhanced drying process speed, improved quality of dried wood.
