FIELD: civil aeroplane safety systems.
SUBSTANCE: the fact of missile launch is determined, the missile co-ordinates at each moment of time are plotted, and pulse periodic laser radiation is generated and sent to the point of missile presence at the given moment of time. The wavelength band of laser radiation is within the range of response of the infra-red homing heads. The power of radar radiation exceeds the power of radiation of the aeroplane engine in the spectral range of response of the infra-red homing heads. The pulse repetition frequency is close to the characteristic frequencies of operation of the infra-red homing heads. The concept of the protection system is in the fact that positioned on the aeroplane are the missile launch fact and launch co-ordinates transducers, transceiver with a turn drive and optical channel, connected to whose output is the transducer of the missile co-ordinates on its flight path, on-board computer and the laser radiation generator with its starting device.
EFFECT: reduced probability of hitting of a civil aeroplane, enhanced reliability of protection in the conditions of optical interference.
