FIELD: security facilities.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is a method of the aircraft protecting against rockets with IR homing heads, is that detecting the fact of rocket launch, generating or forming the laser radiation with radial polarization with a power density exceeding the aircraft engine thermal radiation power density, laser radiation is translated to the rocket location point, at that, the rocket control system receives false information about the aircraft location. Due to the laser radiation radial polarization, reducing the power losses during the laser radiation translation and its passing into the homing head optical path, which allows to protect the aircraft at large distances and thereby increase the method efficiency.
EFFECT: proposed method (variants) can be used in the development and creation of on-board devices (systems) on various types of aircraft for their protection against rockets with optical and, in particular, with IR homing heads.
