FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport electric systems with dc motors, particularly, to speed control systems of underground cars. Proposed device has two groups of traction motors connected in series with corresponding controllable starting resistors. It has also four main change-over elements in form of three thyristors and one diode, group of capcitor energy accumulators, additional switching elements, group of additional diodes and charging device. Under standard conditions groups of traction motors with starting resistors are switched on by means of main change-over elements first into series circuit and then into shunt circuits. Under emergency conditions groups of traction motors are connected by main change-over elements into series circuit without starting resistors and then are connected by means of additional switching elements through definite time intervals to first, second, etc capacitor energy accumulators. Said capacitor energy accumulators are changed through additional diodes and charging device from contact system before operation.
EFFECT: provision of self propelled operation of electric train in case of failure of contact system.
