FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: in the mode of electric braking the continuous current railway motor produces electric energy which is accumulated in storage on the first and the second condenser. Braking resistor limits the current in condenser charging circuit. During charging, voltage on the first and the second condensers connected in series will be increasing inversely proportional to their actual capacitance. To align voltages on the first and the second condensers during their charging, the first and the second insulated-gate bipolar transistors are connected in parallel to mentioned condensers, and the third resistor is included into diagonal of formed bridge. When respective insulated-gate bipolar transistor is unblocking it shunts by the third resistor the condenser on which higher voltage is present. The condenser on which lower voltage is present will be charged by greater current until voltage on the first and the second condensers does not become aligned. Thus during the whole charging cycle, voltage balance on condensers will be kept and their capacitance will be fully utilised.
EFFECT: reliability enhancement and improvement of energy and mass-dimensional parameters of the device.
