FIELD: railway transport; maintenance and repair of permanent way.
SUBSTANCE: proposed raking out device has bucket rotors for cutting out ballast behind ends of ties and working members for cutting out ballast from under rail skeleton arranged at both sides of longitudinal symmetry plane of machine. Working members for cutting out ballast from under rail skeleton are essentially horizontally arranged milling cutters whose axes of rotation are arranged in one plane, square to longitudinal axis f machine, with axes of rotation of bucket rotors. Diameter of milling cutters is equal to half the distance between bucket rotors. Each milling cutter is made in form of plate feeder with teeth over perimeter and is equipped with discharge plow directing cut out ballast to bucket rotor. Proposed invention provides combination of functions of cutting out ballast behind tie ends and transportation of ballast taken out from under rail skeleton.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance, reduced power consumption of raking out device owing to replacement of screw working member by milling working member, increased efficiency of ballast cleaner.
