FIELD: control and adjustment, in particular - guided weapons.

SUBSTANCE: the method for direct guidance of armament on target at an arbitrary position of the commander and operator on the ground consists in combined orientation of the reconnaissance aids of the commander and operator's armament on the ground relative to the geographical co-ordinates, successive detection and tracking of the target by the commander with the aid of the reconnaissance and observation aids, input of the target co-ordinates to the commander's control panel, assignment of the selected target by the commander on his control panel for hitting by the armament operator, computation in the commander's control panel of the co-ordinates of azimuth and target range relative to the location of the operator's armament, automatic check-up of target visibility from the position of the armament operator with the use of the electronic terrain chart, and prediction of the target elevation relative to the operator's armament with the use of the electronic terrain chart, transfer of the target co-ordinates to the armament operator in the form of the values of azimuth, elevation and target range relative to the location of the operator's armament, aiming of the armament on the target in the first stage relative to the common reference points according to the values of target azimuth and elevation, aiming of the armament in the second stage according to the deflection of the target from the center of sighting of the armament, target destruction by the operator from the armament.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of armament guidance on the target, and reduced time of target indication.
