Abstract RU 2240442 C1

FIELD: low-power engineering; windmills as off-line power supplies mounted on sufficiently high buildings.

SUBSTANCE: proposed unit has frictional rotor made in the form of vertical shaft mounted for rotation inside casing and provided with vertical plates spaced apart through definite distance. Plates are made in the form of flat disks with turbine-type blades installed between disks over entire perimeter of rotor. Rotor plates and blades are joined together by means of braces spacing them at certain distance on rotor circumference. Turbine unit casing is made in the form of guide-vane assembly that has vertical guide vanes mounted over its entire perimeter tangentially to outer edge of flat disks. Entrance edges of guide vanes are free to turn and are coupled with wind vane. Wind-turbine rotor is coupled with shaft of loading device, such as electric generator, through loading ring attached to bottom edge of rotor for contacting frictional wheel mounted on generator shaft.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and rotor stiffness, maximized air flow through unit, ability of rotor braking at high wind speed.
