FIELD: decontaminating various structures and pieces of equipment.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes treatment of contaminated surfaces with aqueous decontaminating solution followed by removal of spent decontaminating solution. In the process surfaces are decontaminated in enclosed volume of decontaminating solution by treatment of contaminated surface with cavitational decontaminating solution. Difference between decontaminating solution flow pressure and static pressure of decontaminating solution closed volume is 0.4 - 0.6 MPa. Treatment of contaminated surface is conducted at decontaminating solution temperature of 18 - 22 °C.
EFFECT: enhanced speed of procedure and improved quality of decontaminated surface.
