FIELD: medicine, obstetrics.

SUBSTANCE: one should register ECG, cardiac rhythm variability (CRV) in pregnant women to make a geometric CRV picture as phase portraits (PP) of maternal CRV. One should visually detect PP type at the state of rest in pregnant women to be classified as chaotic, maximum-cyclic, simplified-geometric and mixed ones. It is necessary to predict the result of pregnancy and availability of chronic placental failure according to PP type either in the 1st or in the 2nd half of pregnancy. The method is safe and useful for screening trials, it enables, also, to modify the analysis of nonlinear CRV components.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of prediction.
