FIELD: display engineering; data display systems including flat-screen television sets with surface-discharge color plasma panels.
SUBSTANCE: mechanical design of ac plasma panel and control method involving alternate input of information combined with displaying all line picture elements are optimized. Schematic and engineering solution is found for separate input and display of information thereby enhancing operating reliability of integrated circuits generating scanning pulses. Lines are integrated in pairs enabling use of common scanning electrode for two lines. Discharge transfer gap is closed with light-tight material. Display unit is provided with pulse voltage boost generator.
EFFECT: enhanced contrast, brightness, operating and control reliability of display system; reduced quantity of scanning components.
