FIELD: display engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed plasma panel that can be used to display information on high-definition flat-panel color television sets and video monitors has its display electrodes assembled into groups with even number of lines N = 2, 4, 6 ..., information-input discharge gap for all lines being formed within each group of lines in one of gaps between pixels of adjacent lines. During panel control pre-display mode is organized within line-group information input discharge gap, and upon input of information address bit is transferred in odd-numbered half-frame of picture into odd-numbered lines of group and in even-numbered half-frame of picture, into even-numbered lines.
EFFECT: enhanced contrast, quality, brightness, and luminous efficiency of picture, as well as operating and control reliability of panel.
