WORKING TOOL FOR TILLAGE MACHINE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, working tools for general-purpose tillage machines.

SUBSTANCE: working tool has cutting, guiding and protecting members. At least cutting members of tillage tool are additionally equipped with protecting ceramic inserts immovably fixed along their working surface. Width to length ratio of each insert or faceplate is 0.2-5. Protecting members are extending above working tool base by 0-5 mm. Ceramic protecting inserts or faceplates may be made round or oval in plan, or may have shape of regular or irregular polygon in plan, and may have rectangular, trapezium-shaped or curved section. Protective ceramic inserts or faceplates may be attached mechanically, by glue, by welding or by plasma sputtering to surface of cutting members. Protecting ceramic inserts or faceplates arranged on pointed part or cutting member may have individual geometry, sizes, sharpening angle and increased extension above working tool for reducing loading of other protecting members of working tool. Cutting members with protecting inserts may be mounted immovably or for rotation relative to casing of working tool.

EFFECT: increased wear-resistance of working tools under any operating conditions.
