FIELD: film applicators.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand device 1 designed to transfer film made of adhesive cover or color material from protective tape 2 to substrate. Said device contains body 6 in which feed reel 4 and receiving reel 5 for protective tape 2 are installed for rotation, and application member 7 arranged in body 6 around which protective tape 2 describes loop. Application member 7 is installed for displacement between moved off idle position and shifted forward operating position from which it is displaced to idle position by pulling-back elastic force. Hand device 1 is furnished with drive member 29 which is accessible form outer side. When being set into operation manually by cut-in force, drive member provides shifting of application member 7 to operating position in which it is pressed to substrate to transfer film. Application member 7 automatically displaces to idle position when pressure of device on substrate or cut-in force decreases to corresponding definite value.
