FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves making corneal paracentesis for introducing indocyanine green for staining newly formed basal membrane. After staining, the membrane is removed from the iris surface and trabecula surface by means of capsule forceps. The anterior chamber is washed with physiologic saline to completely wash out the indocyanine green residue. 1-2 corneal paracenteses are done before removing the membrane.
EFFECT: safe membrane removal from iris surface.
