FIELD: heat-retention materials, in particular mineral wool for heat and acoustic insulation.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes charging fuel and mineral raw material into furnace, raw material melting and mineral wool production. Mixture containing (mass %) coke 40-85; lean coal and/or anthracite 60-15 is used as fuel. Lean coal and/or anthracite comprise at most 15 % of volatile matter; at most 40 % of ash, and have thermal resistance at least 70 %.
EFFECT: mineral wool of improved quality, enhanced raw base, low-cost method.
