FIELD: watch making.
SUBSTANCE: proposed timing system has resonator in the form of integrated micromechanical resonator and electronic circuit for exciting resonator vibrations and generating signal of desired frequency. Resonator rests on substrate and is free to vibrate about axis of revolution perpendicular to substrate. Resonator has central post passing from substrate along axis of revolution and self-supporting vibrating structure. The latter has outer ring coaxial with axis of revolution and plurality of spring members symmetrically disposed around central post and used to join outer ring to central post.
EFFECT: enhanced quality and frequency stability, reduced power requirement.
