FIELD: equipment for detachable connection of extension pipe to control handle of vacuum cleaner.

SUBSTANCE: stopping apparatus has holder connectable to control handle and equipped with stop opening made in one of its sides, said opening coinciding with retaining opening made on control handle, locking and disconnecting lever equipped with hooked portion, which may be inserted into and withdrawn from stop opening, and button portion extending diametrically in opposed relation with respect to hooked portion. Locking and disconnecting lever is positioned for moving between locking position and unlocking position. In locking position, hooked portion is inserted into stop opening, and in unlocking position, hooked portion is withdrawn from spot opening. Button portion is arranged in such a manner that unlocking combination force is applied in the same direction as force applied for disconnection of holder. Button portion and hooked portion are arranged at one side of pivot fingers along locking and disconnecting lever. Resilient portion is formed on opposite sides of locking and disconnecting lever so as to fix said lever in locking position by elastic contact with holder circumference. Stopping apparatus occupies little space.

EFFECT: convenient maintenance and operation, especially upon disconnecting of supporting holder for extension pipe, and compact construction.
