FIELD: electrical engineering; traction systems for vehicle drives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanotronic traction module built around separately excited contactless electrical machine supplied with power from semiconductor power converter has rotor position sensor, power transistor converter incorporating current sensor, and liquid cooling system with coolant flowing in two parallel streams in two cavities of which one cavity is disposed around electrical machine stator and other one, at butt end where its internal wall ensures heat transfer from independent excitation winding of electrical machine and external wall provides for heat transfer from transistor modules of power converter.
EFFECT: optimized size of electrical machine and power converter built integral to constitute mechanotronic module.
