FIELD: foundry, namely coatings for casting molds.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of separately grinding mullite-corundum chamotte, electric corundum, zircon, clay and kaolin. Grinding of mullite-corundum chamotte, electric corundum and zircon is realized in combination with grinding of surface-active matter. The last is absorbed on ground particles. Prepared powders are mixed. Suspension is prepared by adding to mixed powders liquid glass and water while creating effect of diluting suspension. It provides sedimentation stability and lowered viscosity of suspension.
EFFECT: improved strength of casting molds at casting non-ferrous metals and iron.
