FIELD: railway transport; permanent way.
SUBSTANCE: proposed track rail joint unit contains rails butt joined with clearance whose end faces are skew symmetrically cut relative to line of butt joining and connected by side cover plates secured by bolt joints. Insert triangular in plan is placed in clearance between end faces of butt joined rails. Said insert engages through its side surfaces with corresponding surfaces of rails. Insert is made in form of rail for reciprocating relative to angle of rail cut. Cross profiles of head and foot of insert from side of converting side skews are reduced by value of its cross displacement. Articulated displacement element system is mechanically connected to vertical walls of insert and one of joined rails. Moreover, said side cover plates are rigidly secured to left-hand rail and are connected for reciprocation with right-hand rail. Invention is aimed at elimination of instant impacts, prevention of pitting or chipping when wheels roll over rail joint unit of sharpened sections of rails by reinforcement and rendering possibility of reciprocation of insert along rail with stable contact along corresponding inclined planes of insert and rails at changes of ambient temperature.
EFFECT: improved reliability of track rail joint unit.
