FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combustion chambers divided into two or more parts and combustion chambers of specific shape to improve operating process. Combustion chamber is formed by surface of piston crown with projection symmetrical relative to axis and surface of cylinder head made in form of truncated cone with hemisphere in vertex and cylindrical bead between vertex of cone and hemisphere. Cylindrical bead of head and projection of piston temporarily divide combustion chamber into two spaces: spark plug central space of semispherical shape and plugless ring space of wedge shape.
EFFECT: provision of high economy and antiknocking characteristics of piston engine.
