FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method of organization of working process in piston engine with charge divided into layers consists in forming of swirling of fuel-air mixture in process of intake. As a result, mixture is divided into rich one in center and lean one at walls of cylinder. Near top dead center, rich mixture is separated into central space, and lean mixture, into periphery space of combustion chamber. At end of compression, rich mixture is ignited by spark and burns. Lean mixture compressing process continues. Independent burning of rich mixture continues till critical ratio of gas pressures in spaces. Then spaces unite and burning rich mixture ignites lean mixture flowing out from central space at critical velocity. Piston engine has two tangential intake channels with intake valves and one outlet channel with valve. Disk combustion chamber is made in cylinder head symmetrically relative to axis of cylinder. Piston crown has form of truncated cone with cylindrical rim, 1.5-2 mm high, in upper part. Near top dead center rim gets into disk combustion chamber of head and devices engine combustion chamber into two spaces: central disk space and periphery ring space.

EFFECT: improved antiknocking properties of engine, reduced fuel consumption.
