EXERCISING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: sports equipment preferably for working out and strengthening of muscles of sportsmen engaged in swimming and rowing events.

SUBSTANCE: exercising apparatus has power force creating device made in the form of elastic net fixed on carcass secured on rigid columns. Net is composed of concentric and radial members connected with one another and stretched on carcass at side adjoining user. Concentric and radial members are secured by means of radial members passed through pullers positioned on carcass and secured with their ends on reverse side of net. Elastic net is diametrically divided into two symmetrical independent halves deformable in any direction under outside loadings applied thereto. Flexible support arranged centrally of and independent upon exercising apparatus between said halves is composed of vertical column and user's platform horizontally mounted thereon and adapted for displacement in direction of forces applied by user. Net radial members extending through pulleys onto side opposite to user are fixed with their ends at base of flexible support column. Exercising apparatus is further equipped with control unit for controlling of user's state and loading force regulating device for regulating of loading force during usage thereof. Carcass with extendable members is used as loading force regulating device.

EFFECT: increased efficiency owing to increased extent of creating conditions simulating swimming and rowing processes during exercising.
