FIELD: light industry.

SUBSTANCE: water-repelling umbrella has water channel arranged in tubular rod and including water suction passage and water repelling passage. Said passages are connected with one another through transition chamber defined in end part of rod handle portion. Plunger has plunger head disposed in transition chamber for movement therein to effectuate suction stroke during which low pressure is created in transition chamber for sucking water through suction passage into transition chamber, and for effectuating repelling stroke during which pressure is applied to water in transition chamber for replacement of water through water repelling passage from discharge opening in the vicinity of upper end of rod.

EFFECT: wider operational capabilities of umbrella.
