FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely manufacture of porous construction materials, possibly manufacture of filters for cleaning liquids and gases, heat exchanging members, base of catalytic devices and so on.
SUBSTANCE: porous material includes metallic fibers oriented randomly and mutually joined in contact points. Fibers are sifted non-uniformly for forming relief porous material. Method comprises steps of sifting metallic fibers through meshes of vibrating sieve onto substrate for forming porous blank and sintering it; placing substrate on platform, moving vibration sieve and(or) platform in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: possibility for producing articles having irregular geometry of its cross section.
