FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as self-contained supply source designed for supplying consumers with direct and alternating current. Proposed set contains diesel engine with closed water cooling system. Set is installed on base and is enclosed in case filled with noise-absorbing material. Generator is driven by V-belt drive from pulley installed on crankshaft of diesel engine and pulley of generator. Idler pulley is installed between said pulleys, being provided with belt tension adjusting and vibration compensation mechanism. Set is furnished with turbine installed in exhaust pipe. Expansion tank is thermostatically controlled.
EFFECT: reduced level of vibrations, possibility of starting within wide temperature range, and self-contained operation.
