FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: one should decrease intercostals space in the wound due to altering a patient's position with mechanisms of operation table and/or the system of rollers. Rollers should be placed under patient's lumbus, pelvis, shoulder girdle and head. Shoulder girdle, head, lumbar vertebral department and pelvis should be lifted and thoracic vertebral department should be descended. Then the wound should be sutured layer by layer at thorax with uninterrupted Z-shaped returning suture with 3-stage vertical lift. In peculiar case, rollers should be designed as inflatable elements, moreover, before closing a thoracotomic wound on should remove air out of a roller being under patient's thorax to inflate those located under shoulder girdle, head and pelvis.
EFFECT: decreased number of complications.
