FIELD: radio navigation; locating mobile object position.
SUBSTANCE: base stations at preset operating ranges are located at random spread near vertices of conventional cells tightly adjoining each other by their sides at preset mathematical expectation and dispersion of distance between nearest base stations. Radio signal received from mobile object at base stations which are first base stations is transmitted to second base stations located within operating range of previous base stations. Transmission of radio signal is performed at preset frequency band; previous and subsequent base stations transmit radio signals at non-overlapping preset frequency bands; position of mobile object is determined by preset operating ranges of base stations, by coordinates of reference stations, by preset mathematical expectation, dispersion and frequency bands.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure.
