FIELD: resistance welding.
SUBSTANCE: electrode comprises heat compensating layer between the water-cooled housing of the electrode made of strengthened copper and working tip made of a pseudo alloy. The layer is made of a pseudo alloy. The concentration of copper in the layer is higher than that in the tip by a factor of 1.2-2.0. The thickness of the heat compensating layer is 0.3-0.5 of the length of the tip.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of the electrode.
