FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises oscillating electron beam following semi-elliptical trajectory. The heating spot is focused down to a diameter of no more than 1.2 mm, and oscillations are performed with a frequency of no more than 30 oscillations per second. The length of the transverse axis of the semi-ellipse should be no less than the width of the bottom part of the U-shaped beveling.
EFFECT: improved quality of welding.
