FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in radial-and-thrust supports of spindle units of metal-cutting machine tools. Proposed hydrostatic bearing has housing with ring and radial channels, shaft and movable bushing with radial channels. Bushing is found in space between housing and shaft. Radial channel in housing is made in form of throttling holes arranged over circumference or slot throttling clearance and it connects ring channel with step slot throttling clearance. Radial channels of bushing are made throttling. Ring projections are made on end faces of bushing to form step slot throttling clearances with inner end faces of housing. Ring bead is made on shaft which forms slot throttling clearances with mating surfaces of housing and bushing.
EFFECT: reduced power losses at delivery of lubricant, no negative compliance both in radial and axial directions, increased load-bearing capacity of hydrostatic bearing.
