FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: hydrostatic bearing comprises shaft and housing with circular ledges arranged on the housing faces. The ledge inner sides accommodate circular membranes to make, together with the housing, the chambers that communicate with radial throttling channels communicating, in their turn, with lubrication feed source. Rigid rings are tightly fixed inside membranes to make, together with the shaft, the axial throttling slots, while, together with the housing, to make radial throttling slots. Note that the housing inner surface and shaft surface form the slot for lubrication bearing layer to pass through.
EFFECT: hydrostatic bearing with maximum range of negative pliability and reduced lubrication consumption.
