FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to machine-building industry and can be used in radial-axial supports of spindle assemblies of metal cutting machines when using both fluids and gases as lubricating medium. Hydrostatic bearing includes housing with annular lubricant delivery channels, shaft and movable sleeve with radial throttling channels, which is arranged in cavity between housing and shaft. Both annular channels are located on the sleeve ends symmetrically relative to longitudinal plane of the bearing. Mating surfaces of sleeve and housing form radial and axial control throttling gaps, and mating surfaces of shaft and sleeve form radial and axial throttling gaps. On external cylindrical surface of sleeve there made are pockets connected through radial throttling channels to radial throttling gap, and on end surfaces of sleeve there made are pockets connected through diagonal throttling channels made in the sleeve to axial throttling gaps. Mating surfaces of housing and shaft with the grooves made on the shaft form lubricant drain gaps.
EFFECT: enlarging the active range of loads, as well as reducing lubricant delivery power losses.
