FIELD: machine engineering, possibly diamond-abrasive polishing of any surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes mandrel and skew sleeve having axes of its outer and inner surfaces crossed in symmetry center by angle α. Diamond-abrasive disc includes boss made of elastic porous material and outer peripheral diamond-abrasive intermittent cutting layer. Said layer contains diamond-abrasive cloth secured to cloth-type porous envelope. Disc is mounted by inclination angle α relative to plane normal to rotation axis in cylindrical coaxial sleeve mounted on skew sleeve by means of bearing assemblies. Disc is mounted on mandrel by means of tapered washers whose ends are inclined by angle α one to other and nut. Such structure of apparatus provides possibility for polishing non-round complex-profile surfaces.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, improved quality of polishing due to changed grid of traces, enlarged manufacturing possibilities, simplified process for making tool.
