FIELD: machine engineering, possibly diamond-abrasive polishing of any surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting to blank and to diamond-abrasive wheel rotation and feed motion along worked surface; using wheel having boss of elastic porous material and outer peripheral diamond-abrasive intermittent cutting layer; using as said layer diamond-abrasive cloth secured to cloth porous envelope; mounting wheel by inclination angle α relative to plane normal to rotation axis in cylindrical coaxial sleeve mounted on beveled sleeve in bearing assemblies and locking wheel by means of nut. Outer diameter of wheel exceeds diameter of ground opening. Wheel is introduced to opening of blank by means of slit type cone ring. Grinding is realized in two modes: rough and finish diamond-abrasive grinding. First mode is realized at eccentric shifting of mandrel axis relative to axis of blank at forced rotation of blank and at angular velocity of wheel increased in proportion to shifting eccentricity degree. Second mode is realized at coinciding axes of blank and wheel and at the same revolution number of them.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of working due to providing and changing trace pattern, enlarged manufacturing possibilities due to grinding non-round complex-profile openings, simplified reduced-cost process for making tool.
