FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of tools for diamond-abrasive polishing of any surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: wheel is mounted on mandrel and it is inclined by acute angle relative to plane normal to its rotation axis. Wheel is in the form of tore-like disk made of cylinder truncated at both sides. Cylinder is made of elastic material such as porolon; ring of diamond-abrasive cloth is secured to its periphery. Two flat washers and four slanted washers (two on each end) are arranged on ends of disc in order to provide gradual change of inclination angle of wheel. Disc is fit onto sleeve defining height of wheel.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of tool, simplified process for making wheel, enhanced efficiency and quality of polishing.
