FIELD: medicine, orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: one should resect costal cartilages due to tunnel chondrotomy for the whole length of cartilaginous part of deformed ribs at keeping both internal and external costal walls and perichondrium, cross-sectional sternotomy at the top of deformation and fixing with the help of metal plate that weakens the resistance of costal component of deformation and provides the chance to stabilize sterno-costal complex by taking into account optimal correction of deformation.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of mobilization.
