FIELD: joint and selective extraction of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions by clay minerals irlit-1 and irlit-7; non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy; treatment of waste water.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introducing the clay materials into starting solution followed by mixing and settling; used as clay-containing materials are hydromica clays of sea nature: irlit-1 and/or ielit-7 in the amount not exceeding 5 g/dm3; selective or joint extraction of heavy metal ions is performed at pH of starting solution equal to 3-6.5 or at adjustment of acid and basic characteristics of solution at pH=6.5-12.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; low cost of process; reduced consumption of reagents.
