FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engines using water in working cycle. Proposed two-stroke piston internal combustion engine contains at least one cylinder, cooling system, piston and cylinder head forming combustion chamber, exhaust member, pump and nozzle to deliver liquid into cylinder, and working mixture igniter. Exhaust member is made in form of exhaust port in lower part of cylinder. Nozzle is made with cavitator. Working mixture igniter is made in form of electrodes installed for adjusting gap in between, delivery of direct current, striking and extinction of electric arc. Electrodes are installed in combustion chamber. Used as liquid is electrolyte, for instance, water solution of potassium hydroxide. Working mixture in combustion chamber dissociates under action of electric arc.
EFFECT: provision of ecologically clean fuel-saving internal combustion engine.
