FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering and can be used in engines. Internal combustion engine comprises working cylinder (1) with working piston (2), kinematically connected compressor piston (25) with compressor cylinder (24), combustion chamber (6) with ignition plug (7), two annular channels (8, 9) around combustion chamber. First annular channel (8) is connected to the combustion chamber by small channels (10). Second annular channel (9) is connected to the working cylinder by two or more channels (11) arranged evenly along the circumference of this annular channel, axes of these channels are inclined towards the axis of the working cylinder. Both annular channels (8, 9) are connected to compressor cylinder by channels (15, 16) equipped with check valves (13, 14). Both annular channels are connected to the fuel-air mixture supply channel from the compressor cylinder through switch (17). Switch makes it possible to open one of channels (15 or 16) with simultaneous closing of the second channel.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of stability of engine operation in all modes.
